Ora Cogan is a unique artist who inhabits a sonic space between shoe-gaze, psych-folk & dark-wave. She has collaborated with a multitude of artists & shared the stage with the likes of Mazzy Star, Grouper & Lido Pimienta. She has toured extensively throughout Europe and North America, performing at festivals such as Pickathon, Le Guess Who? Festival, Treefort & Suoni per il Popolo. Her new album, Bells in the Ruins, will be released in 2020.
Iminah Kani is a west-coast, island girl who creates beautiful music with elements of flamenco, folk-noir, psych and experimental sounds. Her guitar creates the foundation upon which she builds layers and plays soulfully.
Please approach one of the show organizers if you feel unsafe or uncomfortable by any behaviour at the show.
This event will take place on unceded Coast Salish Territories, specifically of the Lekwungen and WSÁNEĆ peoples. As we focus on building artistic and cultural bridges, we acknowledge the rich cultural history of the many peoples and rituals that have been affected by the ongoing process of dispossession and colonialism. We hold this understanding in our interactions and engagements with this land and its people.
Unfortunately, Copper Owl is not a wheelchair accessible venue.
